WORK SAMPLE: LOGO DESIGN

Robert moses' Kin

Founded in 1995, San Francisco-based Robert Moses' KIN strives to produce dance works that speak to what is specific and unique in human nature. The company uses movement as the medium through which race, class, culture, and gender are used to voice the existence of our greater potential and unfulfilled possibilities.

THE BRIEF

To celebrate the their 30th anniversary, Robert Moses' KIN sought a special logo to be used on a wide variety of materials throughout the anniversary year. They wanted this new emblem to draw attention to the occasion with a prominent "30" and incorporate a nod to the company's history.

THE SOLUTION

The logo I developed has a big, bold "30" at its core with a silhouette of Artistic Director Robert Moses from the company's early years. It is framed by a square, making it versatile for various uses. The company name and anniversary tagline can sit outside of the square for standalone placements, or inside for instances when the logo is overlaid on photos. The square can also stand alone as a captivating graphic.
