2024 San Francisco Dance Film Festival
The 2024 San Francisco Dance Film Festival presented 90+ innovative dance films throughout October at various San Francisco theaters.
THE BRIEF
The San Francisco Dance Film Festival (SFDFF) sought to create a visually stunning marketing campaign with branding for the 2024 Festival as a whole, as well as promotional pieces for each of the individual events. The materials needed to reflect the wide diversity of dance films included in the Festival, letting the film still speak for themselves with minimal image manipulation.
THE SOLUTION
I produced a large collection of 2024 Festival materials that were united by striking film imagery, bold typography, and bright pops of color. The center of this campaign was a film still from “If I Were You” which featured two dancers against a cloudy sky. Secondary design elements included additional film stills layered within text - a motif that translated well to trailer videos.
